Visiting certain websites on your computer can lead to it receiving a computer virus. Without even realizing it, your computer has been infected with a virus that is eating away at your computer’s processing speed and ability to function properly. Over time you notice your computer’s programs crashing on their own, it has an inability to communicate or interact properly and may even shutdown randomly. In a similar way a drug addiction can affect your life.
When suffering from a drug addiction, you may notice an inability to focus and complete tasks like you once did. You shutdown often and randomly and feel exhausted, tired or even depressed with a lack of desire to do anything. You feel drained and easily irritated, unable to communicate with others and interact like you once did. This all happens without you even realizing it, as your addiction acts like a virus and eats away at you over time without you possibly noticing. Before you know it, you are suffering from the symptoms with seemingly no way out.
There is a cure for every addiction, just like there is for a virus. All you have to do is seek help and be committed to change. Anyone can beat an addiction and it is time to treat it like a sickness. It’s something that is outside of your control that is time to take control of. You can beat the flu, and you can beat an addiction.
