Over 23 million Americans struggle with addiction, yet fewer than 10 percent are getting treatment.

The HBO Addiction website brings together many of America’s top addiction experts to demystify the much-misunderstood disease. The Addiction Project is produced by HBO in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).

The feature-length documentary film ADDICTION is the centerpiece of the Addiction Project. Bringing together the nation's leading experts with award- winning filmmakers. Although the project debuted a few years ago, the real life struggles have not changed and the project is ongoing.
