This event provided satisfaction for critics of a man aho has always portrayed himself above others.

Chevy Chase, the comedian known for Saturday Night Live and comical movies, spent decades battling an addiction to painkillers. He was in pain due to a pratfall in television. He used painkillers to ease this pain. After his addiction made him reach rock bottom, Chevy checked himself into The Betty Ford Clinic.

Elvis Presley's talent was being destroyed by his multiple addictions to prescription medications. This happened long before the boom in prescription drug abuse. Elvis first started using drugs when he was in the military. His addiction was to stimulants. The pressure of his music career lead to many other prescription pill addictions. Presley died in 1977 as a result of a massive overdose.
